Important Safety Information

What Is Microdosing GLP-1 & GLP-1/GIP Therapy?

Microdosing GLP-1 and GLP-1/GIP therapy uses much lower doses of prescription medications to support metabolic health, inflammation balance, and overall wellness rather than significant weight loss. These therapies may be incorporated into a structured provider-guided program based on your individual goals.

At Alorah Wellness, compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide may be prescribed through a secure telehealth process following review by a licensed provider. In some cases, formulations may also include supportive ingredients such as B12, NAD, or L-carnitine based on your goals. Your provider evaluates your medical history, symptoms, and relevant clinical information to determine whether this low-dose approach may be appropriate.

If prescribed, your provider will oversee your care and adjust treatment over time based on your response and wellness goals.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the treatment process work?

You will complete a secure online intake form that is reviewed by a licensed provider. The provider evaluates your health history, symptoms, and goals to determine whether low-dose GLP-1 or GLP-1/GIP therapy may be appropriate. If prescribed, your care will continue to be monitored through the program.

What may be included in my formulation?

Depending on your goals, your provider may prescribe a compounded formulation that includes semaglutide or tirzepatide, and in some cases supportive ingredients such as B12, NAD, or L-carnitine. The specific formulation is determined based on your medical evaluation and provider guidance.

How are doses determined?

Microdosing protocols typically begin at much lower doses than traditional treatment plans. Your provider may start with very low weekly dosing and make gradual adjustments over time based on your response, safety considerations, and wellness goals.

Important Safety Information

GLP-1 medications are prescription treatments and are not appropriate for everyone. Eligibility is determined by a licensed provider following review of your medical history.

Do not use GLP-1 therapy if you or a family member have a history of medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) or Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2).

In animal studies, certain GLP-1 medications caused thyroid C-cell tumors. It is unknown whether this risk applies to humans. Contact your provider if you experience neck swelling, hoarseness, trouble swallowing, or shortness of breath.

GLP-1 therapy may cause gastrointestinal side effects including nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, or abdominal pain. More serious risks may include pancreatitis, gallbladder disease, hypoglycemia (especially in patients using insulin or certain diabetes medications), kidney complications, increased heart rate, or allergic reactions.

This is not a complete list of risks.
